LIFE IN THE SUN
Welcome to The Meadow and Bark Journal
There are certain moments that stay with us forever.
Morning coffee before the rest of the house wakes up.
Saltwater drying on your skin after a swim.
A family dinner that stretches long after sunset.
A walk on the beach with someone you love.
The first paddle of the season.
The smell of sunscreen and fresh-cut grass.
Children laughing barefoot through the backyard.
These are the moments that inspire Meadow and Bark.
When we first began creating skincare, our mission was simple: create products that protect and nourish skin for life in the sun. But over time, I've realized that our purpose has always been something bigger.
Modern life moves fast.
It asks us to spend more time indoors, more time looking at screens, and less time connecting with nature, with each other, and with ourselves.
We believe the moments that restore us are often the simplest ones.
A day on the water.
An afternoon in the garden.
A long walk.
A surf session.
A tennis match with friends.
A weekend away.
A meal shared outdoors.
Or simply sitting quietly as the sun rises with a cup of coffee in your hands.
Those moments don't just nourish the soul.
They remind us who we are.
That's why we're opening the pages of Life in the Sun.
This journal is where I'll share the places that have become part of our family's story, the ingredients that inspire our formulations, the rituals that help us feel our best, and the people, ideas, and experiences that continue to shape Meadow and Bark.
You'll find coastal guides, founder stories, skincare education, wellness inspiration, recipes, outdoor living, and the little discoveries that make everyday life feel just a bit more beautiful.
If something we share encourages you to spend more time outside, gather the people you love, explore somewhere new, care for your skin, or simply slow down long enough to enjoy the moment...
Then we've accomplished exactly what we hoped.
Thank you for being here.
Welcome to Life in the Sun.
With gratitude,
